Ambassador Riaz Mohammad Khan
Ambassador Riaz Mohammad Khan has served as the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, the top civil service official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In his 40 years of bilateral and multilateral experience as a career diplomat, he has served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union. He has also been appointed as additional Foreign Secretary, Foreign Office Spokesman, and Director General responsible for Afghanistan and Soviet affairs. As Foreign Secretary, he served as head of the Pakistani delegation to the Pakistan-India Composite Dialogue and the Pakistan-US Strategic Dialogue. After his retirement from the Foreign Service, he spent a year as a scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center in USA.
